About the Author

As a reporter and PR specialist, Richard Jones covered medical issues, feature stories, space stories, and wrote and edited the Florida Engineer alumni magazine. While in Ocala, he won a statewide excellence-in-reporting award for his work on a series of articles following a boxer's death in the ring. Working with Barry Ozer, Jones began The Dude's Guide weblog in 2006. Jones also writes and has sold numerous short stories (byrichardjones.com) and is working on two urban fantasy novels and an expansion of his award-winning YA story, the Mismatched Monster. Jones lives in Charlotte, NC, with his wife and three sons, ages 19, 18, and 13.

Barry Robert Ozer is a 42-year-old father of four children. His two sons are 13 and 12, and his two daughters are 10 and 7 years old. He lives in Charlotte, NC, with his wife, a pediatrician. After staying home with the kids for a while, Barry eventually fled back to work where he is a financial advisor with a major global-investment bank. A graduate of the University of Florida, Barry always assumed kids would be something that happened to other people. Until he and his wife found themselves becoming foster parents to four of the most fantastic kids in existence. An avid golfer and serial entrepreneur, Barry is constantly working on projects for his clients, himself, his kids and his wife. In his free time, he wishes he had some free time. Looking back, going from father of none to father of four in six months, was only the first "joy jolt" his kids brought his way.
