About the Author

Robert L. Merz is a native Philadelphian, who grew up in the shadows of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, with an appreciation for American history. He holds a Master s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor s degree in Sociology from Tulane University. He has worked for several Fortune 500 companies in the fields of sales, marketing, and management. He has participated in several structured, corporate management-training programs, and been involved in an entrepreneurial start-up business. He currently resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The ideas presented in this book are the culmination of research that began over three decades ago developing from a scholastic history paper on The Coca-Cola Company; to a university independent study project highlighting the sociological value systems of companies; to post graduate study and consulting work in organization development; to practical work experience covering varying aspects of business management.
