Ilysia has long been a land of mysticism and magic. When the Dark Empresss swept across the land, expanding her rule from the kingdom of the Dark Fae to encompass of of Ilysia, opposition was swift from a coalition of the races which dwelled there. Together, they were able to save nearly half of the land from her evil clutches, although the unrest caused many to flee their homes in search of a place free from the Empress's taint. This new home was Corinthia, peopled by races with technology far advanced from their own. The only thing this land lacked was magic, save for that which the Ilysians brought with them.
