Overview

The Kim Regime is a threat, unstable and unpredictable, no sticks or carrots have stopped the development of a nuclear-tipped missile capable of striking the United States. The intelligence community assures President Larson that Pyongyang is many years away from crossing that red line. Larson knows their longest-range missile can now reach all the population centers on the West Coast. A lone intelligence analyst claims they have a warhead that will work on that missile.

Larson calls on Michael Case to get to the bottom of the dispute. What if they have a nuclear-tipped missile on a launch pad? What if they launched that missile, is it a test or targeted at LA, Seattle, or San Francisco? President Larson would have less than thirty minutes to decide what to do, and the technology to shoot it down does not exist.

A dangerous tipping point, that could lead to global nuclear war.

About the Author

The world has changed a lot since growing up in middle class America, decades ago, watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon in black and white. China was a far off and mysterious country, a long war in Vietnam and a cold war with the Eastern Soviet Block, no one had ever been to those places. Now I have been to these places and many others through Europe, the Middleast and Asia. Sometimes we forget the world has gotten better in many ways, advances in science and health care, technology at work and home. But there are new and difficult challenges, things seem more chaotic, more divided and faster paced. No one cannot predict the future, but we can be hopeful about it, we must. Damon writes novels aspiring to positive yet realistic future circumstances, with humble heroes who use their wits, not violence. Damon Nomad is the pen name for an author who has lived for many years in the middle-east and far east, bringing life experience, education and professional experience together in his writing.
