Overview

Patrick J. Ouellette's gripping, psychological thriller, A Cop Story, takes the reader on a riveting and twisted ride as seasoned FBI Agent Henry Donovan frantically tries to track down a savage serial killer. Set in 1994 and 1995, A Cop Story shines with respect to its portrayal of the pre-Y2K detective era, where hard work, decision-making ability, a gun, and a car were a detective's main resources. With no modern-day technology, much less a cell phone, Agent Donovan must step into the mind of a psychotic killer with maternal issues and an inconsistent MO. A Cop Story carves a gritty, relentless pursuit of justice and is a pulse-pounding, electric tour de force right until the very end, when shocking secrets are finally revealed.

About the Author

Patrick J. Ouellette grew up in Maine. Originally enrolled in a criminology program at Northeastern University, he switched to economics and worked on Wall Street for more than a dozen years before moving back to Maine, where he currently resides in Biddeford Pool and works for an investment research firm in Portland. Writing has always been a passion for Patrick, and major inspiration for Hank's character in A Cop Story came from five works that he considers to be the best portrayal of the pre-Y2K detective: The French Connection, Nighthawks, Manhunter, The Silence of the Lambs, and Zodiac.
