Still reeling from the recent tragic loss of her fiance, Aria Chambers is hoping for a peaceful Christmas in her small town of Anderson Crossroads, Nebraska. But when she comes home after the annual church Christmas program to find that her house has been broken into, those hopes seem to vanish like melting snow. She calls the police and is surprised by a familiar face as Trevor Mason responds, pulling up in his squad car. Under different circumstances, the reunion might have rekindled a spark between them, but the burglary has set them both on edge: they realize that whoever broke into Aria's home is still lurking somewhere inside.
