A Challenging Affair

Overview

A shooting, threats and bad dreams are mixed with love, friendship and mountain climbing; through trials and triumphs, an almost murder, turns to love and marriage.

In a drunken rage, Cam tries to kill his best friend Alex who is glad at first that he gets sent to jail. During a walk down memory lane with a friend, Alex is reminded of her infatuation with Cam. A change of heart leads Alex, with help from friends, to raise some of the money to post Cam's bail.
As Jairo enters the picture competition with Cam begins over Alex. Through Cam's influence, Alexandra breaks up with Jai and Cam strengthens her affections. After a visit from Jai, Alex feels threatened, leading to bad dreams.
Shortly after this threat is resolved, Alex learns of new threats coming from the same man: her uncle. Protection is declared by many that love Alexandra, for those encompassed by the threats; making it difficult for her uncle to accomplish his intentions.

About the Author

A. L. Ward is a quiet, patient, young woman who has been writing novels since June 1996. Her passions are writing and editing; both help her cope with life's troubles and brings her great joy. She lives Michigan with her husband and three beautiful boys. Besides writing her main interests are penguins, turtles, anime, reading and singing. As you can tell when you read her stories, she is very strong in her faith. She was raised Christian, and believed in the Lord since around age seven. She is stronger on writing novels, though has written are a handful of short stories over the years.

She currently has two other works out there. A novel called, "Lightning Angel" and a collection of three short stories called, "Faith, Fire, Hope!"
