A Catechism of the Liberal Catholic Church: Fourth Edition
This is the fourth edition of Archbishop Wynn Wagner's Liberal Catholic Catechism. The first edition was published when he was a rookie priest with Holy Water behind the ears. Now comes an update from Wynn as a lah-dee-dah my-incense-don't even-stink archbishop. And yet it still works as an easy-to-read introduction to a little known branch of the church catholic. The Liberal Catholic Church was started in England in the early part of the 20th century. It welcomes everyone, especially sinners, and is one of the most tolerant and accepting denominations you can imagine. Straight/gay, young/old, pro-life/pro-choice. Some believe in reincarnation and ascended masters. Others come for the mysticism and healing liturgies, while many attend because of the stately beauty of the Liberal Catholic liturgy. The amazing thing is that the Liberal Rite works for all of them. The archbishop introduces you to the major concepts of the Rite, from the simple to the esoteric. The Liberal Catholic Church is one of the most dynamic groups of independent Catholics in history. You are in for a real treat with A CATECHISM OF THE LIBERAL CATHOLIC CHURCH.

About the Author

For a decade after college, Wynn was a radio disc jockey and newscaster in Texas and New York. "I was fired," he likes to say, "from some of the best stations in Dallas."

Later he was a computer programmer by trade. In the 1980s, he wrote a computer "bulletin-board system" (BBS) called Opus. Long before there was an internet, Opus pioneered the technology needed to link computers around the world to share files, e-mails, and conversations.

Every penny earned by Opus was donated to HIV research and care. It was one of the most widely used communications systems of the 1980s, so it generated a tone of money when few were supporting AIDS and HIV organizations.

Wynn wrote "Day One." It is an article for those who have just been told they have HIV. "Day One" has been translated into a dozen languages and is the most read article about HIV ever published. You can read the piece at AEGiS.org

His other works include THE COMPLETE LITURGY, A PILGRIM'S GUIDE TO THE OLD CATHOLIC CHURCH and RECOVERING CATHOLIC.

Originally ordained in the Liberal Catholic Church, he is now an archbishop in the North American Old Catholic Church.

He and his husband live in Dallas.
