About the Author

USA Today best selling author Lorana Hoopes is the author of both Christian romances and Children's early readers. She is originally from Texas but now lives in the PNW with her husband and three kids. Many of her books are set in Texas, close to her roots, and her Wishing Stone books are based on her three children.

Her Wishing Stone books have been picked up by several schools and used as a summer reading book. They employ a glossary of challenging words and a resource list at the end so children can do additional research. She will be adding a Christian line to the Wishing Stone series soon.

She has several contemporary romance series spanning women's fiction, small towns, football players, and billionaires. She also has a speculative fiction series and a romantic suspense series.

I consider A Brush With A Billionaire a jewel among the plethora of "Billionaire' books that are available. It is a very good book that is well written and ,most importantly, clean and sweet. The story grabs the reader's attention from the first paragraph. A great read for the beach or a rainy weekend. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good, entertaining , Christian romance.

I loved A Brush with A Billionaire. Brent, a billionaire movie actor, finds that his life isn't what he really wants, after meeting a down to earth auto mechanic from a small town. Brent & Sam from different walks of life try to have a relationship but it appears to be doomed before it starts. I loved watching their relationship grow as they both seek God's guidance. It was an uplifting and inspirational story filled with sweet romance.

I like this story because Brent & Sam each have a need that can & is met by the other person. Is it real life? I don't think so because it is a sweet, clean romance story that makes me feel good after reading it. One of those stories you can enjoy when you want to get away from the mundane real world. When his Porsche breaks down outside a small town everyone says the only help would come from Sam the local mechanic. But she's so wrapped up in getting her garage business built up so she can make a profit she's not even aware he's a movie star. Life is either conspiring against him or it puts him right where he needs to be. While this pair of characters seem to be an unlikely match, this author does a wonderful job of building their story into a modern day fairy tale.

I enjoyed the character development in this beautifully written romantic story. Sam and Brent had realistic flaws and attraction. Their disputes were the challenges real couples face and Brent's wealth did not diminish those challenges. A small town community brought them together and gave them the support they needed. I'll be looking for other books from Lorana Hoopes.
