About the Author

Serving on University faculty boards of science and medicine gave John Poynton a broad insight into mainstream materialist thinking and its weaknesses. Born in South Africa in 1931, he graduated from the science faculty of the University of Natal and is an emeritus professor of that University.

I have just read John Poynton's second novel 'Brief Authority', having read his first book, 'New Creation' a few months ago. I was very impressed by the cast of characters in his first novel, and I hope he will develop many of these in further books. He introduces more characters in the second novel, drawn with economy and invested with a realism that , as before, makes me want to know them better.
