Boyd is a depressed former sportswriter who hits rock bottom when he loses his dead-end job at a mortuary equipment company in the big city. When his psychopathic and sexually depraved girlfriend Darla threatens to leave him, Boyd heads north to the country in a desperate attempt to save his relationship and reclaim his life by taking a chancy journalistic assignment to investigate a so called medical and scientific research company. As Boyd learns the truth about the human body parts donation and distribution business, he begins to see the possibility of a better way of life...if only he can stay alive long enough.
