About the Author

Tamra Simmons has a different approach to influencing others than the majority of people who seek to do this. Most of her friends call her a woman of worth and influence, as well as a great mother (to both a son and a daughter) and friend. Ms. Simmons wholeheartedly believes that the power of thought leads one to his or her destiny— that one’s mind causes him or her to have certain attitudes and per spectives that affect not only his or her life, but also the lives of others.

Ms. Simmons earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy and Communications from Tennessee State University. She is currently working on earning her Master’s degree in Christian Counseling, and soon after that she will go on to earn her doctorate.

Ms. Simmons is a woman who desires to help others maintain the right attitude when the going gets tough. Having been raised by her grandparents, Ms. Simmons gained a different perspective on looking at life. She is determined to beat the odds of the stereotypical single mother and relies on her faith to lead her where God wants her to go, and to be whom He wants her to be.
