You've seen Chris Bearde in interviews on A & E's two hour "Cher Bio", The E Channel's "Sliver Anniversary Elvis Special", & VH1's "Sonny Bono Story". Emmy winner Chris Bearde seems indestructible.

His epic career in television began in Australia & Canada, he made his American transition in 1967, He created shows for several NBC comedy variety specials starring Jimmy Durante, Cher, Liberace and Don Adams. Chris won an Emmy for his writing on "Laugh In" & created many of the best know running gags for that series. Chris then wrote & created the formats for the classic 1968 "Elvis Presley Comeback Special" & a highly rated Dinah Shore comedy special starring Lucille Ball. He went on to co-produce NBC's Andy Williams Show series which brought elements of comedy to that series. More specials & series followed including a "Jackson 5 Special", "Bob Hope" specials & the very popular series "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour" Chris brought a very young Jim Carrey to television for the first time in a national cable special & also hired Steve Martin for several series as a writer/performer when Steve was first starting out. He also recognized the talents of Robin Williams for the first time & took him to the CBS network. He produced a comedy series with Bill Cosby & comedy specials with Jonathan Winters. Chris also created & co-produced America's first classic comedy reality show "The Gong Show". He also co-produced the hit ABC sit com "That's My Mamma" starring Clifton Davis.

A partnership with long time friend Dick Clark spawned "Puttin' On The Hits", a successful long running syndicated lip sync series, as well as many music & comedy specials with Donnie & Marie, Suzanne Somers, & his introduction to television of comedian Arsenio Hall.

Chris created a late night comedy show "Night Cap" for HBO that won a coveted Golden Rose Comedy award at the Montreux International Television Festival, & the late night cult comedy hit "Sherman Oaks" for Showtime.

Most recently he created the live stage smash hit "The Really Retro Radio Revue" at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, California, starring Betty White, Jonathan Winters, Adrienne Barbeau, & Kelley LeBrock.

Chris's list of awards include, an Emmy, a Golden Globe, 12 Emmy nominations, a Writer's Guild Award, 5 Writer's Guild Award nominations, plus the Montreux International Television Festival Award. Look Chris up on Wikipedia for a full list of his credits.
