Overview

The author is a Korean War veteran, having served four years in the U.S. Navy. He is also a ham radio operator and has passed many messages, like the one in The story.

Two families are involved when Mike is called back into the army for the Korean Conflict. He is sent to rescue his former partner, Elmer, and to do dangerous undercover tasks during the conflict. His sister learns the type of prejudice that the Japanese-American community was still facing as she falls in love with Samiko, her brother's best friend. Elmer finds unexpected romance in his own office, but not with a Christian woman.
