80's Love is a love/hate drama that takes us back to the Crack Era. In the mid 80's crack cocaine hit Detroit like wildfire. Families seemed to crumble overnight. Here is a microscopic look into one of those families. Lil Tony is a 14-year-old whiz kid that finds himself in unthinkable situations. He nor his younger siblings had seen their mother in days, and food got scarce. Confused and frustrated the Lil Tony jumps off the porch.
The crack era exploded on the scene with newfound wealth, but there was also a new level of violence. This was the era Lil Tony stepped off the porch in, and he became no starnger to the wrath of violence. The kid finds himself in a fight for his life, where he is forced to fight back or die.
Across the tracks was a beautiful young street worker that went by the name of Plum. Plum was a 19-year-old baby doll. Fly, quick witted, but Plum was trapped into a very abusive relationship. She plotted her escape before her pimp killed her, and the new crack wave may be her way out. She met a hustler that could boss her up. But the 80's had other plans. In the most bizarre way, Plum and Lil Tony cross paths and their friendship becomes a necessity to survive the deadly attacks of grown men.
80's Love is an emotional rollercoaster. It's insightful, dramatic, and extremely entertaining. This is the first episode in an ongoing series. The short book packaging has dual purpose. One is if you are on a long bus ride to Atlanta, or on a long flight to California, 80's Love is the perfect companion. A fun episode that's personal, and sexy. You won't be able to put it down.
Now, the second reason for the short story packaging is the vision. My vision is to see 80's Love on the big screen. That's how the series broke down. Each book is broken down into an episode.
