About the Author

Linda F. Hembree has been involved with breeding and showing wires since acquiring her first wire Ch JaDee It Works for Me CD NA CGC TDI "Hunter" in 1992. He was the first champion wire to earn an agility title. She is a member of the American Fox Terrier Club (AFTC) and the Wire Fox Terrier Club of the Central States (WFTCCS) having competed in conformation, obedience, rally and agility.
A former journalist and director of rehabilitation at numerous inpatient and outpatient rehab clinics, she has a master's degrees in journalism from University of South Carolina and in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University in NC. A former president of South Carolina chapter of National Federation of Press Women, she received numerous state and national journalism awards during her newspaper career. Now retired, she makes her home in Landrum, SC with varying number of wires. Linda is an AKC Breeder of Merit and a member of the WFTCCS Breeders Hall of Fame.
Nancy L. Hittepole has been involved with wires since 1992 when she rescued a wire named Abby. She is a member of the American Fox Terrier Club (AFTC) and the Wire Fox Terrier Club of the Central States (WFTCCS).
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and Master’s Degree in Business Administration and had successful engineering and project management careers in aerospace, telecommunication, computer systems integration and emergency management. She is retired and currently lives in her home state of Ohio with BB and Journey.
