Officer Trina Rhodes is a married civil service worker who works in one of the most dangerous penitentiaries in the world. While working in solitary confinement, a location in the prison where inmates are housed for twenty-three hours a day, with only one hour of recreation out their cells. She meets Inmate Tyquan Swell; convicted for armed robbery. He is defiant, suicidal, harmful, and manipulative.
Trina, a behavioral science major who studies criminals became a little too interpersonal with Swell while trying to save him from his suicide attempts. She is battling her addiction.
