About the Author

Ian Spong was born in the island state of Tasmania, Ausralia and left that country when he was 21 to study theology in England and California. He later served churches in Germany, Australia and the USA and finished a master's degree in his chosen field. More recently the author has been a pastor in the United Methodist Church in western Maryland.
