1940, the war in Europe was in full swing, and Canadian Marge Thaden was nursing wounds--the very recent loss of her little brother, a pilot in the air war over England, and a year old divorce. Now, she wanted part of her life back. Knowing her ex-husband/pilot will be in Maracaibo, Venezuela--and being a competent pilot herself--she takes a job flying a DC-3 heading there to surprise him. When she arrives, he isn't there, but she is thrust headlong into the adventure of a lifetime, and the possibility of new love. Chasing love and adventure takes her across the world by plane and boat, rescuing Jewish refugees, and eventually into Nazi occupied France. But the real trouble starts when she is swept into a race to deliver war winning secrets to Washington D.C., or in trying, die a watery death in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
