About the Author

Nadia Michel is a Canadian-American writer and journalist. In 2019, she launched the podcast TMR (originally The Men’s Room). It quickly became the MENA region's number one English business show on Apple Podcasts. Nadia's debut book, 40 Lessons: What the New Entrepreneurs Can Teach Us About Technology, Geopolitics & the Coming Reformation, is inspired by entrepreneurs interviewed on her podcast. Delving into growing industries, 40 Lessons derives valuable lessons from stories of entrepreneurship that can be applied at work and in your daily life.

Prior to podcasting, she was Managing Editor for nearly five years at Official Bespoke, a pan-Arab luxury lifestyle platform covering the luxury industry across the Middle East, headquartered in Beirut. Nadia was born in Quebec and grew up in Montreal. She now lives in Houston.

Non-fiction isn't commonly my go-to genre, but I do try to assign myself two or three a year for growth - air quotes. 40 Lessons was interesting to me, as it spoke to the impactful decisions and paths 40 individuals took through their careers and life. This is a great read if you're looking to apply some personal introspective review through 40 other individual's stories of life changing decisions.
