30 DAYS TO A NEW YOU: Get What You Want Through Authentic Change
30 Days to a New You, both a manual and a workbook, provides practical techniques and support so you can effectively redefine yourself into a person who can get what you want and live a full life with intention. Using a simple, systematic method, this book shows you how to use your infinite, individual power to connect with your real self and your powerful individual vision. Then it leads you through the steps to put your new knowledge and skills into practice. In only one month, 30 Days to a New You enables you to:

• Become aware of the real person inside.
• Conduct self- assessment without fear.
• Know the truth about the power you own.
• Understand yourself and your capacities at a deeper level.
• Accept all that you are: your strengths and limitations.
• Transform who you are.
• Embrace who you can be during the process of reaching your goals.
• Trust yourself to accomplish anything.
• Delight in living your life intentionally.

The key, most innovative element in all of my books is that they don’t give advice; they support people in finding their own answers to their questions. Therefore, you can create your own life supported by the values that are important to you. It’s your life, and you are the expert.

The questions in the workbook section are thought-provoking and are designed to support you as you go deeper into understanding yourself. The tools offered are very practical, and they can be implemented immediately.

This book offers immediate invaluable tools, like for example learning to embrace the perspective of the Observer, or the Lighthouse. You’ll find it in Day 9. This perspective will support you to look at life through the wide-angle lens—being able to assess the Big Picture—versus the laser pointer, which gives you only a narrow view of the results. A lighthouse has a 360-degree view, and it stands strong and unyielding on solid ground. From that perspective you can see all around you: past, present, and future.

When you shift the focus onto yourself and who you are in the process of reaching your goals, you will stop looking for confirmation outside of yourself.

The Value of Getting to Know Yourself
Investing in getting to know yourself for who you are now, including yourself in the Big Picture (rather than focusing only on the goals) and also defining your emotional DNA will give you great value:
• You will stop looking for outside approval
• You will be guided by your own integrity
• You will stop second-guessing yourself
• You will trust yourself and your choices

Can you imagine what your life would be like if you trusted yourself and didn’t need outside approval?

"30 DAYS TO A NEW YOU serves two kinds of people: those who, in the words of novelist E.M. Forster, "are in a muddle" and looking for a lifeline to pull themselves out, and those who are strong, motivated, and interested in furthering their own self-realization to even higher aims of success and satisfaction. By breaking the process down into a 30-day, step-by-step practice, this book fulfills the natural desire we all have for results that we can feel and benefit from now. Monica’s skills as a life coach and her enthusiasm for life are evident on every page."

About the Author

Monica Magnetti is a Life/Business and Wellness Coach living and practicing in Vancouver, British Columbia. She started Luna Coaching in 2004 and has rapidly grown it to a business with an international roster of clients whom she coaches by phone or by traveling to their locales. She maintains her client base with a newsletter, website, and her previous publications, in addition to the workshops that she holds for groups or individuals, in person or by phone.

She is the author of three other self-help projects: Being in the Present: How to Create the Blueprint of your Life (Portofino Press, 2007), a book and companion journal; Being in the Present: What Exists Between a Second Ago and a Second from Now, a visualization exercise on CD (self-produced, 2006); and the book Outsmart Stress! Understanding the Dynamics behind Stress (Portofino Press, 2007).

Monica holds a certification with the Coaches Training Institute of California, which is recognized by the International Coaches Federation, and she has completed two specializations: one in Individual Coaching and the other in Group and Corporate Coaching. She holds a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia.

Along with her training, Monica’s successful business qualifies her to write this book because it has resulted from the same methods she advocates to her clients. Monica has dared to envision the Big Picture for her own life and has steadily grown a business that reflects both her values and her ambitions.

Born and raised in Italy, Monica is truly a citizen of the world. Her study of Greek and Latin and her consequent passion for mythology engendered a love of stories and an understanding of the power of language to shape our thoughts. Monica is also an artist and has produced photographs, two novels, a book of short stories, and two short documentary films.
