Overview

Sooner or later, every preacher runs into a wall. The well runs dry. You're trying to hear what God is saying, but nothing is happening. Usually, all we need is something to hang your hat on. Here are twenty-six hooks for you to do just that. Sometimes all you need is one good illustration to fill the blank hole in your sermon. These will work for that little problem as well. The author has been a preacher for almost forty years. Draw from his experience.

About the Author

Dave Zuchelli is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Education (which means he's an unemployed teacher). He has also earned a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (he's a little more fortunate in that field having been a pastor for over thirty-five years). He is married to Denise who keeps him in line (somewhat), has four grown children and a fluctuating number of grandchildren (one of his sons is a foster parent, so they come and go a bit). He rides a Harley, plays a guitar, preaches sermons and writes books. Besides loving Denise, his children, and his grandchildren, he also loves to laugh and he loves the Bible. In his opinion, this is a particularly good combination considering the world in which we live. While at seminary, he was elected by the faculty to Who's Who Among College & University Students. He is particularly proud of that honor since he practically never agreed with his teachers on anything. He was also co-editor of The Logos (the seminary's student newspaper) for three years. This kept him sane and helped him sharpen his satirical edge (not to mention made him some enemies). You can find out more about Dave on his website, PulpitMan.com. (Just what we need…another super hero.) He is also available for various types of speaking engagements should you wish to venture into the unknown. He can be contacted for such events through this same website.
