Robert Farmer is a retired Marine Corps Band Officer/Conductor. As an active duty Marine Musician, he served with the 2nd Marine Division Band, Camp Lejeune, NC, the Quantico Marine Band in Quantico, VA, III Marine Expeditionary Force Band, Okinawa, Japan, Marine Forces Reserve Band, New Orleans, LA, and the Marine Forces Pacific Band, Kaneohe Bay, HI.
Following retirement from the Marine Corps in 2002, he served for nine years as Associate Minister of Music, Spotswood Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, VA as the Orchestra Director. Robert currently lives in Evans, GA, near Augusta.

He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in performance (trombone) from Delta State University, Cleveland, MS, (1978), and a Master of Arts (composition) from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA (1994). He is married to the former Pamela Mosley of Cleveland, Mississippi. They have two interesting children: Carla and Robert, and three even more interesting grandchildren, Braden, Ainsley, and Jace. He keeps busy as an author, composer/arranger, freelance trombonist and shofarist, and handyman-at-large. In his own words, �I seek nothing more than to honor God with the gifts He has given me.�
