This is two books in one. First is The Girl In The Cabin about a troubled teenage girl dumped on her grandparents by quarreling parents. She befriends a strange young woman that she later discovers has a terrible secret.
The second book is The Backwoods Snatcher about a little girl living in a small town with a small police force, that is kidnapped by a serial child killer. The mad rush to rescue her puts many people in grave danger.
