CHAPTER 1
OVER IT ALL
KEY VERSE: COLOSSIANS 1:15-16
He is the image of the invisible God, the first born over all creation. For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him.
God created everything and is over everything. The stars in the sky? He knows exactly how many are there. The temperature of the sun? God knows, the exact degree, because He made the sun. God created everything you see and everything you can't see, too! Here's the best part. The God of the universe wants a relationship with you. God knows everything about you, and He has a plan for you. Are you ready to learn more about the God of the universe?

CHAPTER 2
THE BEGINNING
KEY VERSE: GENESIS 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Think about the last picture you drew. You created it. You decided what colors to use and how it would look. Before you began drawing, the paper was blank. Before God created the heavens and earth, nothing existed. Both the earth and the heavens began within God created them. When God made the heavens and the earth, He was just getting started.

CHAPTER 3
IN THE DARK
KEY VERSE: GENESIS 1:2
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
Being in the complete dark with no light can be a little scary. When God created the earth, it was empty and dark. Why? Because God hadn't created light yet. God is the Creator of light isn't that incredible? Who was hovering over the water? The Spirit of God was hovering. God existed before anything else did. He created everything and has ultimate control over everything. Even in the dark, God was there and still is today.

Have you ever been somewhere that was completely dark? How did it make you feel?
ASK YOUR PARENT:
Were you afraid of the dark when you were my age? How do you feel about being in the dark now?
