Overview

"I believe successful relationships are like romantic evenings. Be attentive, take nothing for granted, eliminate the barriers, and ensure your partner feels treasured." - Julian Brewer

I had no intentions of ever getting married. I was going to be the bachelor sans the rose ceremonies and fantasy suites. However, I found true love and my soul mate as a freshman in college. I knew what asking her out meant, but I couldn't spend the rest of my life wondering "what if?". I have learned a great deal about myself as a person, as a man, and as a husband since my wife and I said "I do" to the notion of spending our lives trying to out love one another. I continue to learn with each passing day how to better honor the vows I took on my wedding day. I may have never intended to get married but, because I am, I am striving to be the best husband I can be. Perhaps my experiences will help you do a better job of managing the growth opportunities than I did early on. This book is simply the reflections of an average guy on marriage and relationships based on just ten of the many things he learned loving the same woman.

About the Author

I would like to think that I am your average guy who wrote a book that he hopes will help others have even better relationships because of the lessons he learned. I am not a doctor. I am not a counselor. I am a simple guy who never intended to get married and got married. Marriage is not for everyone. We all must find the path that is right for us. I would like to think I am a better, more rounded individual because of my marriage. I am far from perfect . . . I’m a guy. But, I truly want to be the best husband I can be. I believe fulfilling, faithful, loving relationships are possible—even if we have to work a bit harder than we initially thought. The results are so worth the effort.
