CARTOON FUNdamentals
How many times have you wanted to capture a funny situation on paper but were intimidated by the thought of drawing? Now you can learn to create your own cartoons and characters with this easy-to-follow program that shows you how to draw... one step at a time.

The basic premise of Cartoon FUNdamentals is that "You can't do it wrong!" Your art is a personal expression of how you view the world...
How can that be wrong? The fear of failure is what keeps most "reluctant artists" from drawing. They are afraid someone will criticize their efforts and compare their work to that of an accomplished artist. What you create with this book might be different... but, never wrong.

About the Author

Ever since he was a teenager, DICK EVANS has combined his artistic talent and quick wit to create humorous cartoons and illustrations. In 1977, he began to share his love of cartooning by teaching “Cartoon FUNdamentals” to people of all ages. He spent years searching to find a simple, nonthreatening way to help artists and non-artists.

Dickʼs focus is on individual creativity and emphasizes his overall philosophy of art... “There is No Wrong Way To Do It!” In his 35+ years of teaching, he has re-kindled the artistic urges of people wherever he teaches. By taking away the risk of doing it wrong, he found people once again could enjoy the simple joy of expressing themselves through their art. His belief that everyone has an artist lurking inside them has been reinforced over and over by people in his classes.

A published author and cartoonist, Dick has appeared in numerous publications. His cartoon demonstrations can be viewed on YouTube and on his website: www.BearClausePublications.com. He is the creator of TC BEAR, a tourist country bear living in Northern Michigan and had a cartoon strip “”Bear Pause” in the late 80ʼs about the bearʼs escapades. He published a coloring book featuring TC BEAR, “Up North with TC BEAR”, as well as “Cartoon FUNdamentals”, the book he uses for his classes.

He illustrated an award-winning book written by Bill Parrish, “Adventures of Mr. Bill”...stories of Billʼs experiences driving a school bus in Dickʼs hometown of Traverse City, Michigan.

Dick recently wrote, illustrated and published “Discover the MAGIC of Rainbows” an engaging book for children about the importance of eating a Rainbow Diet filled with fruits and vegetables. The characters in the book, Annie Oxidant, Phyto (her dog), Rudy Baga (her neighbor) and Brock OʼLee, (the friendly farmer) explore how sunlight forms the rainbow of colors in the garden and orchard and the benefits of eating each of the colors of the rainbow. The book has been widely acclaimed by experts in nutrition and early elementary education.
