I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato (Charlie and Lola Series)
"Youngsters will never — not ever — pass up a second helping." — Publishers Weekly
Lola is a fussy eater. A very fussy eater. She won’t eat her carrots (until her brother Charlie reveals that they’re orange twiglets from Jupiter). She won’t eat her mashed potatoes (until Charlie explains that they’re cloud fluff from the pointiest peak of Mount Fuji). There are many things Lola won’t eat, including — and especially —tomatoes. Or will she? Two endearing siblings star in a witty story about the triumph of imagination over proclivity.

She went to two art schools, worked as an assistant to the artist Damien Hirst, and designed an offbeat line of lampshades before beginning a career in children’s books. Lauren lives in London, where she is a manic collector of Barbie doll mermaids and Star Wars memorabilia.
My grandmother has always been way ahead of her time in terms of nutrition. When everyone else was guzzling sugary sodas, she was drinking water with lemon and green tea. As an elementary school teacher, she believed it was never too early to start teaching kids about healthy nutrition, and I agree. In today’s world […]
The hardest part about raising a child (besides sleep issues and absolutely every single other component of shaping them into a not-horrible human being) is getting that child to eat. Whether that means eating nutritiously, eating the same foods as the rest of the family, or simply eating at all, this fundamental task of human existence […]
All parents aspire to raise veggie-eating kids, but no matter what we do, some kids are determined to prove to their moms and dads the first rule of parenting: you are not in control. I raised my kids with the same foods and ended up with one who gobbles broccoli and beans and one who […]
When your kids get a case of the Mondays and don’t want to head back to school after the fun of the weekend, chances are you can sympathize. You probably don’t want to go back to work (or to your regularly scheduled program) either! And of course, you can remember all the times you weren’t […]
