About the Author

My name is Anat Georgy. I'm a journalist and the proud and happy mother of Eli. I was born in 1968 in Ashdod, a sunny port town in Israel. I started writing at a very young age, and fulfilled my dream of becoming a journalist after finishing my second degree in university.

My children's books deal with things that I believe are pivotal in every child and family's life: knowing where they come from , and where and how they belong with their beloved ones. "Little Treasure" came to be when I looked at my baby boy, Eli, and wondered what and how should I tell him about the way he came to the world. I knew that I wanted to do this in the most honest and loving way. When Eli grew up, I got through him insight to a little boy's inner life, and so "Shushu's Families" was born: a quest full of encounters with families of all sorts. I try not to educate, but to show, respect and appreciate the differences and challenges that children see in life around them.
