The Roberts Court: A Present and Future Danger
The Roberts Supreme Court is the most controversial Supreme Court in our history. The First Amendment distance between church and state has been bridged by a "religious rights" agenda. Previous Courts have decided in favor of certain unenumerated individual rights as being fundamental to our well being. This Court, using a religious standard, plans to "revisit" these decisions. Rights, such as the use of contraceptives and the right to privacy will likely be overturned. Roe v. Wade was the first casualty. The Court is in concert with powerful allies that are planning to insert religious admonitions into our lives by government edict. This political push towards Christian Nationalism is anathema to the freedoms we enjoy. Court allies, principal players and the role they fulfill are described. The Courts role in gun violence and Affirmative Action is critiqued. The question we must all answer is Christian Nationalism the way we want to go.

About the Author

The author, a retired engineer, has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed technical journals. His fascination with analytics extends to the more difficult discipline of understanding the unspoken reasoning behind social issues. By understanding this reasoning an issue’s merits, or lack thereof, can be discussed without rancor. In his first book, “Jilted”, the justification for socially isolating homosexual persons is explored. In this work the Roberts Supreme Court, which is remarkably different, in some ways, from previous Courts, has adopted a philosophy that is praised by religious conservatives but is of concern to most others. The author explores the underlying reasoning of the Roberts Court.
