Overview

Follow God’s story of love, hope, and rescue from Genesis to the Gospels in this captivating graphic novel—through stories told by Jesus himself.

The long walk home after celebrating Passover in Jerusalem should be a joyful journey, but this year the travelers are sad and afraid. Then a mysterious stranger shows up and starts telling stories—from many years ago all the way up to the recent death of Yeshua (Jesus) on the cross—and the friends can’t wait to hear more.

This intriguing, funny, and heartfelt journey explores Scripture from Creation to the Resurrection through the eyes of curious children (and grown-ups!) walking with Yeshua on the Road to Emmaus.

About the Author

Matt Mikalatos is an author, screenwriter, and speaker. He has written for Today online, Time magazine, Relevant, Nature, Writer's Digest, and Daily Science Fiction, among others. He also has a long-running series on the fiction of C.S. Lewis at Tordotcom. He lives near Portland, Oregon, with his wife, three daughters, and a giant rabbit named Bruce.

David Shephard has been illustrating since the 1980s, when it was hard to keep either your hair or your sleeves out of your work. Since then he has illustrated for many design and advertising agencies, book publishers, magazines, and newspapers, but over the years he found himself more and more drawn to illustration for children and teenagers. Now he illustrates children's books and graphic novels from his Sussex studio, which has a cracking view of the Norman castle next door.
