BIO TOBIAS
Tobias Goncharoff, D.C. is a native of California. In 1991 He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree Magna Cum Laude from Life West Chiropractic College in San Lorenzo, California. He worked for the prestigious Doctors Dan Murphy and Thomas Turley in California before embarking on his career in Spain in 1992.
Tobias was among the first group of chiropractors to establish practice in Spain. He started out in the province of Murcia, and then opened his own practice in Barcelona in 1994. One of only three established chiropractors in Catalonia, he took a proactive role in establishing chiropractic as a viable healthcare option. He founded the first chiropractic patient association, the APQE, with over seven thousand members. In an effort to introduce principled chiropractic philosophy and practice, he became a member of the board of directors of the Spanish chiropractic association, (AEQ), where he helped to reshape the power structure of the association to allow for straight chiropractic ideals. Tobias was the chiropractic representative in Catalonia in the round table negotiations created by the local government in order to regulate and legislate all of the alternative health practices. He was a founding member of two mastermind groups whom introduced principled post graduate seminars into the European arena for the first time. He soon realized that politics were not for him, and passed the torch on to the next generation.
Tobias main passion is as a clinician. He studied early NSA technique and built the first open adjusting style practice in Spain, which is now the norm in the country. He applies a plethora of techniques in practice form tonal, to structural and reflexogenic techniques. He currently conducts monthly technique workshops, helping the burgeoning chiropractic students in Barcelona to regain the lost art of specific adjusting.
Another passion of Tobias is to spread the chiropractic light throughout the developing world. He has participated in and organized mission trips to El Salvador, Cuba, Kenya, Brazil, India, Santo Domingo and Haiti. He is currently organizing his next passion project with his life partner and personal chiropractor, Dra. Virginie Charpentier. They will launch their dream ship, Innata, in 2019 to sail the oceans of the world and to bring chiropractic to the most remote and stunning corners of the globe. Their project is called InnateAdventure.com. They will be organizing mission trips around the world and inviting chiropractors and students to participate.
