The eastern red
On top the side slopes of Kisavos mountain, a small county achieves great things during Ottoman domination years. Foreign sightseers visit it in order to see the so called "small Paris". This place is called Ambelakia. But what is Monsieur Leclair doing here? Is he an antiquities "collector" or is he studying manuscripts? Chronis, the young assistant at the inn, is first alerted to his movements by coincidence, and then he is driven by curiosity. Thus he is led to the real objective of the Frenchman's visit, to reveal the secret of the eastern red. Who will betray it? Young Ivos, who returns from Europe, why is he upsetting the place's leaders and fellow citizens? Why do his visions fall against their reaction? We will live among them for a while, Spring 1798.
