Soy can feed bad bacteria if someone has dysbiosis, or gut flora that is an unhealthy state.
If someone reacts to eating genetically modified soy, a person then reacts even when eating non-GMO soybean.
It's also important to avoid it because it contains estrogen (which can tip men's and women's hormones), is usually genetically modified (95%), and bad for farming & pollinators on the planet.
