About the Author

Tom's first published book was a guide to the video game editor, Unreal Development Kit, for Packt. He teaches and tinkers with 3ds Max and has worked as a 3D artist on games and in broadcast. Early in his career, he had the pleasure of working with and learning a lot from CAT creator Phil Taylor, now CTO of Fabric Technologies and a reviewer for this book. It was a long time ago, something to do with little green men and satellite maps of New Zealand. Nowadays Tom is saved from total digital distraction by the demands of his Siberian husky. His website (disclaimer: cute puppy pics included) is http://www.tomofnz.com.
