Tae Keller is a New York Times bestselling author born and raised in Honolulu, where she grew up on purple rice, Spam musubi, and her halmoni's tiger stories. She won the Newbery Medal for her book, When You Trap a Tiger. Keller's other books include The Science of Breakable Things, Jennifer Chan is Not Alone and the Mihi Ever After young reader series. She lives in Seattle.
