The author, Tadhg Ó Donnchadha (writing as "Torna"), was Professor of Irish at University College, Cork, from 1916 to 1949. -- Timpeall a bliana 1912 a rinneadh an t-aistriúchán seo an chéad uair agus cuireadh i gcló ó sheachtain go seachtain ar an Irish Weekly Independent.
