Perhaps best known for her Pulitzer Prize winning novel A Thousand Acres, Jane Smiley is also the author of a number of other books. This list includes the recently completed trilogy The Last Hundred Years, an acclaimed saga about an Iowa family that consists of the books Some Luck, Early Warning, and Golden Age. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and also received the PEN Center USA Lifetime Achievement Award for Literature, among many other awards and honors.
