Garth Stein (b. 1964) is an American author, film maker, producer, and playwright who is best known for his bestselling novel The Art of Racing in the Rain. Other books of his include How Evan Broke His Head and Other Secrets, Raven Stole the Moon, and A Sudden Light. He lives in Seattle with his family.
