Kafka hatte sich bemüht, diese Texte - da sie ¿äußerlich und innerlich“ zusammengehörten - gemeinsam zu veröffentlichen. Das gelang ihm nicht - hier jedoch sind sie zusammen zu hören.
This compilation includes a variety of important works by Franz Kafka: “Das Urteil” (The Judgment) which deals with Kafka's difficult relationship with his father; “In der Strafkolonie” (In the Penal Settlement), a story still relevant in regards to the horrible cruelties of the 20th century, and “Der Heizer” (The Stoker), the first chapter of Kafka's unfinished novel “Amerika” (America). Kafka was eager to release these texts as a compilation but unfortunately was unable to arrange the publication - this recording is presented to honor his original intentions.
