Eugenia Price (1916-1996) was an American author best known for her Southern historical novels. Price began her publishing career writing inspirational novels and devotional books for women. After visiting St. Simons Island, Georgia, in 1961 she was inspired to write historical novels set in the American South. Her best known series include The St. Simons Trilogy, The Savannah Quartet, and The Florida Trilogy.
