David Almond est l'auteur à succès de plusieurs romans primés, dont Skellig, Kit's Wilderness, My Name is Mina et Le garçon qui nageait avec les piranhas, roman lauréat du Prix jeunesse des libraires du Québec. Il a collaboré avec d'incroyables artistes et illustrateurs tels que Polly Dunbar, Dave McKean et Oliver Jeffers. Les livres de David sont vendus à travers le monde, et en 2010, l'ensemble de ses oeuvres littéraires lui ont values le prestigieux prix Hans Christian Andersen. Il habite à Hexham, dans la région de Northumberland, en Angleterre.

Alex T. Smith a obtenu un diplôme en illustration de Coventry University (R.-U.). Le premier album qu'il a illustré, Elliot superhéros, a connu un grand succès et lui a valu plusieurs récompenses, dont une nomination par The Book Trust, en 2008, à titre de nouvel illustrateur de talent. Depuis, il a été mis en nomination pour la médaille Greenaway en 2009 et choisi comme illustrateur officiel de la Journée mondiale du livre pour l'année 2014. Alex vit à York, en Angleterre.
