About the Author

Terry-Ann Reid has had a desire to become a teacher since she was five years old. She instructed every youngster she encountered. When she was in fourth grade, her teacher gave her the opportunity to teach a whole class for the first time, and that is where she was encouraged to become a teacher. She studied and received a certification in Early Childhood Education. After that, she attended St. Joseph’s Teachers’ College to earn a Bachelor degree in primary education. As of now, she has been teaching for more than seven years. She also began her tutoring sessions, where children learn to read. Her motivation to write this book came when she realized there was a demand for educational books that would help children connect letter sounds to build words and expand their vocabulary.
