Overview

Millions of households worldwide include animal companions. Have you wondered why a four-legged creature who eats bugs and wags his tail would have an innate desire to live out his/her existence with a two-legged human that is cell phone or computer obsessive? The fact is every living creature on earth was individually created with unique traits and behaviors, a purpose, a soul, and an innate need to connect with other species. The earth's living creatures are interdependent. We were created, together on earth, for a purpose far too divine for our understanding.

Julia Harris, the published author of Pet Loss: A Spiritual Guide, offers a book with spiritual and scientific proof that animals have souls. You will discover in this insightful book:

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet's thoughts about human and animal souls.

How today's spiritual experts Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer define the soul.

Discover the spiritual proof that pets have souls in Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and more religions.

Learn about humans, animals and souls as depicted in Darwin's theory of evolution, and the theories of creationism and intelligent design.

Read an interview with Professor Phillip E. Johnson, the father of intelligent design, who believes DNA proves the non-material basis for life seen in genes. There's a common biochemistry in all life, and it might be pointing to a single creator.

Understand the human-animal bond.

At once practical and enlightening, Pets Have Souls affirms the loving and eternal bond between humans and our animal companions.

About the Author

Julia A. Harris has two passions in life: journalism and animals. In the early 1990s, Julia helped pet owners make final arrangements for their pets during her employment at Abbey Glen Pet Memorial Park of Lafayette, New Jersey, where she received pet bereavement training. She left that position to provide pet bereavement counseling through private practice. It was through her counseling experiences that she wrote "Pet Loss: A Spiritual Guide" in 1997, which focuses on pet bereavement and how world religions counsel pet loss. The spiritual research for the book launched her pursuit to prove that animals have souls, and she recently published "Pets Have Souls." Her journalism experience, which included work as a multimedia journalist for American Online, Inc., aided her research and writing. She has met with religious leaders and studied worldwide religious scripture. Her writings about animals having souls, pet loss, life and death are based on spiritualism and science.

Join the discussion about pets, animals having souls, and philosophy, and share your experiences with your pets at the official Pet Loss: A Spiritual Guide YouTube Channel. Watch webinars created by Julia to help children and adults with pet loss.

Julia is the author of these nonfiction titles: "Pet Loss: A Spiritual Guide" and "Pets Have Souls."
