Aradhana Shukla (Ph.D.) is former Professor and Head, Department of Psychology and Dean (Arts) Kumaun University, Nainital. She is now Senior Fellow (ICSSR, New Delhi) at Department of Psychology, SSJ University, Almora. She has served here as a teacher for the last 35 years and before joining here she served as Research Associate (UGC,New Delhi), Gorakhpur University and Assistant Research Officer, at Department of Paediatrics, Banaras Hindu University. She guided 52 Ph.D. students and conducted five major research projects from NCERT, UGC, ICSSR and UNESCO. She served as a supportive supervisor in the GFATM Round 7 project. She has written 16 books and developed 15 psychological tests. She has published more than 200 research papers in national and international journals and edited volumes. Moreover, she has received 15 awards from the organisations of national and international repute. She has co-edited a series of mental health in 2015 (volume 1&2) and in 2017 (volume 3&4). She is an established motivational speaker and counselor. The major areas of her interest are Cross Cultural Psychology, Health Psychology, Positive Psychology and Mental Health Interventions.
