La tradizione manoscritta del >De incredibilibus< di Palefato
The treatise On Unbelievable Tales of the Greek mythographer Palaephatus (Athens, 4th or 3rd century B. C.) is preserved in about fifty manuscripts dated between the 13th and the 18th century. By combining textual, palaeographical, codicological, and historical data concerning the manuscripts and their copists and owners, the present volume aims at establishing the relations between all the manuscripts and at outlining the history of the transmission and circulation of the text. In order to better understand and study scribal errors and intentional modifications to the text, the analysis of each witness is accompained by a list of all its textual differences with respect to its model.
