When the sun suddenly goes supernova, scorching the planet and threatening humanity's extinction, a rogue group of survivors build and launch the Daybreaker, a ship capable of "towing" the Earth to a new star by the gravity of an artificial black hole. As the Daybreaker must also act as a Second Sun along the precarious journey, all that's keeping the planet from freezing solid in mere minutes, the crew must fight to keep the ship safe from forces that would attempt to commandeer or destroy it... human and otherwise.
