About the Author

ANNE ROCKWELL is a beloved author of over 100 books for young readers, including Big Wheels, The Toolbox, Backyard Bear, and Little Shark. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1934, but spent much of her childhood traveling throughout the United States. By the time she was eighteen she was living on her own in New York City, working and attending art classes at night. Her first book, Paul and Arthur Search for the Egg, was published in 1964, and she’s been creating books for children ever since. She lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
