About the Author

JOSHUA DEWAIN FOSTER is author of the books The Clean Package: A Pioneer Assemblage (2023) and The Crown Package: A Personal Anthology (2022). His short works of slice-of-life literary fiction and nonfiction have been widely published online and in print, and awarded for their candor, humor, personability, and sentiment. Foster earned creative writing and literature degrees from the University of Houston (PHD), University of Arizona (MFA), and BYU-Idaho (BA); was a prestigious Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University and a Presidential Fellow at the University of Houston; has had work awarded the Inprint Donald Barthelme Prize in both Fiction and Nonfiction, and the Eugene England Young Writers Prize, with publications noted by Best American Essays and The Pushcart Prize; as well as having received support from arts foundations Inprint Houston, Idaho Commission on the Arts, and the Association of Mormon Letters. Foster has also worked many years in publishing in key editorial roles with Gulf Coast: A Journal of Literature & Fine Arts, DIAGRAM, and Terrain.org: A Journal of the Built + Natural Environments, where he continues as a Contributing Editor.
