A preacher since 1964, J. J. Turner has worked in Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and California. He has served as teacher and administrator for four Christian colleges and is past editor of Christian Family Magazine and Christian Bible Teacher. Dr. Turner conducts seminars on leadership, marriage and family, anger management, church growth, preaching enrichment, and other subjects. In addition, he is a frequent speaker in meetings, campaigns, workshops, and lectureships. Shepherds, Wake Up! is his sixty-seventh book. J. J. and his wife Isabel live in McDonough, Georgia. They have two children and four grandchildren.
